Do you love apple cake? Do you love apple crumble? Well if your answers are yes, then you will love this cake. It’s my healthier version of polish apple cake called szarlotka ( Charlotte’s cake ) It’s delicious and not too sweet, letting the taste of apples and cinnamon shine, and the mix of textures is just too good. And since it’s made with apples, yogurt and oats, it must be healthy, right ? 🙂

1/2 cup quick oats
1/4 cup flour
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup melted butter

4 big apples
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon cinnamon

1/2 cup melted butter
3/4 cup brown sugar
1 1/4 cup flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking powder
2 eggs
1/4 cup vanilla yogurt

Start by mixing the crumble ingredients ( oats, melted butter, brown sugar and flour) then set it aside. Cut apples in to small pieces, mix with sugar, lemon juice and cinnamon, and also set it aside. Mix melted butter with sugar, add dry ingredients, and then eggs and yogurt. Mix all together. Pour batter in your dish, place apples on top, and finish with the crumble. Bake for 60 min on 350 F. You can try serving it with vanilla ice cream.. yum !
