Spicy and aromatic lentil soup

With fall comes the need for comfort, heat and rich taste. This soup has all of the above, it warms you up, heats and comforts especially after spending some time in the cold and windy weather. It’s pretty simple too, and really filling on it’s own.

1 liter beef broth
2 big onions
4 carrots
1 liter of tomato sauce
1 cup of lentils
4 garlic cloves
1 teaspoon of freshly grounded cumin
1/2 teaspoon of paprika
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper

Start by glazing finely cut onion on the bottom of your pot. Add crushed garlic, and after a minute add the broth and tomato sauce. When it’ll start to boil, turn down the heat, and add cut carrots, lentils and spices. Let it cook for around 30 min. Serve hot, with crunchy bread. Enjoy !
