Old fashion chicken soup


Do you use all of your leftovers? I do my best, for the money we spend on food, for the environment, and for my satisfaction of being a perfect housewife 😉 So this is and old fashioned way of using all of the remaining’s of the roast chicken. A chicken soup. Delicious and all natural .

Roast chicken leftovers ( bones with a bit of meet and fat)
1/2 cup of chicken cut in pieces from your roast
2 medium carrots
1 onion
1 celery stick
a bit of chives
rice noddles
1/2 lemon
2 1/2 cup of water

It sounds weird but take your remaining bones and fat, and place them in water,wait until it starts boiling, and then cook for around 20 min. Take the bones out. Add veggies (cut in pieces). When they will start getting soft, add lemon juice, salt & pepper, noddles and pieces of chicken. Let it cook for another 15 to 20 min. Taste. Add more lemon juice, salt & pepper to your liking. Comfort your self with a bowl of hot, home made all natural chicken soup.
