Everyday plum cake

So here is my simplified version of the french clafoutis and polish placek.I know it may be surprising but these two are really similar, and they where my inspirations for inventing this simpler and easier version. I honestly think that it’s a perfect weekday cake: it’s really fast to make, doesn’t require pricey nor fancy ingredients, and makes a lovely dessert and a great breakfast addition on the next day! I also love it cause it’s not too sweet, which makes it a great snack for a healthy toddler of mine πŸ™‚

1 1/3 cup of flour
1/3 cup of sugar
1/2 spoon of baking powder
3 eggs
1/3 cup of canola oil
1/3 cup of maple syrup (or any syrup)
1/4 cup of milk
1/2 spoon of vanilla essence
plums of your choice cut in halves

1 spoon of sugar
1 spoon of cinnamon
1 spoon of lemon juice

Mix dry ingredients. Add the rest. When well mixed together, place in the baking dish, and place your plums skins up. Brush them with the mixture of sugar/cinnamon/lemon juice. Bake for around 35 min on 350 F.
